Next Gen

Can I share something with you?

Lately, I've been considering how to leverage the platforms God has given me to shine a light on the good he's doing in and through others—namely, the next generation.

For some reason I've found myself surrounded with young budding songwriters, and not just in my own house. There are at least a half dozen songs being written by teenagers (and many more to come), and rather than letting those songs sit on a shelf somewhere, I'm taking this year to help record and release them into the world as part of what Grace and I have been doing at poems of grace.

Why? Because it's like we've been saying from the beginning... we're poems of grace, and so are you. There is a beautiful work happening all around us, and we want to spotlight it as we know how this year.

Beyond time and sweat, this is going to cost a good chunk of change for recording, mixing, and mastering.

So here's my ask: if you've ever considered buying a painting from me, or prints, or a stack of CDs, well, please do so 😊 We're prepared to put our money toward this, but it helps if we have a stream coming in. (And listen, if you wanna write a big fat check to us, I won't say no, but I really mean it when I say I want you to get something out of it, because I'm willing to work!)

Any questions? Please let me know.

And if you're thinking "We love this so much, but the holidays were hard on us, we can't help right now," that's completely ok! One of the best ways you can help is by sharing this with your network. Let them catch the vision and join in the work, just as you are doing here.

Thank you for your time!

P.S. If you missed our first installment, check out "Hide & Seek" where our son sings lead for a song he wrote when he was 8!

P.P.S. Along with these songs, we've got some others cooking too including a PUNK ROCK song ( and a truly special reimagined/stripped down version of the very same song). Keep your eyes out for "Hello, Hello" which makes its debut THIS Friday!
